New design for SciFinder

A new version of SciFinder is due to be released next week. The changes are mainly in the design, for example:

– The buttons for ‘Explore references/substances/reactions’ will move into a single tab called ‘Explore’
– The analyse/refine menu moves to the left hand side
– Saved answer sets and alerts appear in a column on the right

There is some new content:
“Experimental procedures from the high-impact Thieme journals SYNLETT and SYNTHESIS from 1969 to the present are being added to the CAS databases for delivery in SciFinder. ”

There’s a really good video showing many features of the new SciFinder here:

Please contact Linda Humphreys (L.J.Humphreys@bath.ac.uk) if you experience any problems with the new version.
