New search feature on the Library catalogue

From today there is a new feature on the library catalogue that enables you to search exclusively for books, both print and e-books. This feature will make it a lot easier to search for books from a reading list.

Previously the default single search box meant you were searching across the entire library collection. The catalogue search box now has two tabs that do the following:

  • ‘Everything’ – searches the entire collection including books, e-books, journal titles, journal articles, dissertations and the OPUS repository.
  • ‘Books’  – searches exclusively for books and e-books.

If you have any feedback about this feature please contact your subject librarian or use the Ask A Librarian form.
