Due to a system error a large number of borrowers were incorrectly advised that they had overdue items via email over the weekend Friday 19 – Sunday 20 March.
As of Monday 21 March, the vast majority of those loan items have since been renewed without problem. Additionally, Library staff will be sending out an email to users affected by this error to confirm the renewal of those items and notify them of the error.
We would recommend that you await the arrival of that status email in the next day or two to confirm that your loans have been successfully renewed. In the event that you do not receive an email it is likely your loan item was already overdue or had been recalled by another borrower prior to the issue affecting renewals last weekend. You can contact the Library Issue Desk to follow up your account status accordingly.
However, we would ask that you await the advistory email first in case you are informed that there is no issue.
Please be assured that no borrower will be charged late fees as a consequence of this library error.
